Contact

Contact

Three things worth writing about, and what to include so that the answer is worth having.

A contact address is not published on this version of the site yet. Rather than print one that nobody reads, it is left off until there is a mailbox behind it.

There is no contact form

Deliberately. This site is a set of pre-built files with no application behind them and no database, so there is nothing here that could receive a form. Shipping one would mean shipping a box that quietly swallows whatever you type into it. Email is the whole mechanism, and it is honest about where the message goes.

A figure here is wrong

The most useful thing you can send. Include the address of the page, the figure exactly as it is printed, and the source that says otherwise — an order number, a circular, or a page on the tax authority’s own site. With a citation it is corrected in the data file and shipped. Without one it is a rumour, and a rumour cannot be published either way.

A guide is missing

Tell us the question you could not get answered, and where you looked before giving up. Requests that arrive with the failed search attached are what the next batch of guides gets written from.

Press, or anything else

Say what you need and by when. There is no press desk; it is the same address, read by the same person.

What to include

  • The full address of the page you mean.
  • What it says now, quoted, and what it should say instead.
  • Where you read the correct version — an order, a circular, a mission notice.
  • Which language you were reading, if the two versions differ.

What cannot be answered here

We cannot tell you what you personally will be charged, chase a passport application, or speak to a mission or to customs on your behalf. The guides and the calculator are preparation. The decision at the desk belongs to the officer standing at it.
